Lynnwood, WA asked in Medical Malpractice for Washington

Q: I am having problems finding a malpractice lawyer. What do I need to do? Thank you, Trudy

I had surgery for gallbladder removal. I ended up with sepsis because a gallstone was missed. That was in 2022. I have tremors now. Anything you can give me will be helpful.

A: Malpractice cases are difficult. Between the complexities of the science and costs of bringing the cases, and other factors, not all cases are viable. Continue to Consult with experienced malpractice attorneys in the state where this occurred.

A: I'm sorry for your ordeal. In addition to your continuing efforts, there is a tab above, "Find a Lawyer," which should list Washington attorneys by region and area of practice. Local and state bar associations also have attorney referral sections. Those resources are outside this forum, so any arrangements are between you and law firms that you might reach out to. But the norm in the industry with law firms nationwide is free initial consults and contingency-based representation. Since the pandemic, many firms also offer virtual consults. I hope your health improves. Good luck
