A: Attorney of all levels of skill and experience volunteer time to work at legal clinics and other agencies--both public and private--on a pro bono basis. If you meet the agency's criteria for indigency and are provided access to an attorney for pro bono legal representation, it's fairly random whether you will get a newbie or a seasoned veteran or something in between. Also, there may be a continuity problem as the attorney assigned to assist you may be replaced by the agency at random intervals not subject to your control. That's not to say that occurs in every clinic or agency, but it is something that will be completely out of your control. In a protected fight with a lot on the line, it may be better to retain a seasoned attorney with experience in the particular area of law involved in the particular dispute.

A: It could depend on the attorney's experience and skills in the given area - in terms of the tort, the legal theories you contemplate raising, and other factors. Good luck
