Tulsa, OK asked in Criminal Law for Oklahoma

Q: Is it legal to record from my bedroom loud conversations I'm not a party to that are taking place nearby?

Long story short, I filed an ex parte protective order against my roommate, which was granted and served to them. They decided to violate the order in various ways, such as by urinating by my door, screaming various taunts, issue more homicidal threats, etc. For obvious reasons, I wish to set up audio and video surveillance in my bedroom only. Their "bedroom" is actually the common area in a one-bedroom apartment, and thus many things are easily audible and could be recorded for safety purposes.

However, I came across the Security of Communications Act, which, while one-party consent, is very strict and inflexible. It only cares about whether one party consented, nothing else. It was the only I could find that governed recordings and surveillance in this situation in OK. It seems that anything I'd record not actually directed to me- phone conversations, talking to themselves or a friend- wouldn't be lawful to record, even if it's a plot to murder me.

Is my interpretation wrong?
