Q: Are there any lawsuits against Sorin Crown Bio Prosthetic valves?
I have a birth defect and was given this valve 8 years ago. I was told shortly after that the valves like this one deteriorate rapidly and they no longer use them. If it was recalled by the FDA, and if there has been successful litigation against Sorin (now LivaNova), would I have a case for any compensation? I recently had to have another surgery to have it removed, I had huge complications. I am just looking to recoup my surgical costs. My disability would not pay because they said it was a pre existing condition. I do not agree, this was a birth defect repaired with a compromised valve. Any help would be appreciated.
