Burbank, IL asked in Divorce for Illinois

Q: Is there a way to delay a hearing based on a mistake?

My divorce was finalized in January. The settlement stated I had to secure financing or list the house for sale by February 29 2024. I have been fighting with Chase trying to assume the loan. My ex's lawyer filed a motion to show just cause. I went to court in April and informed the judge I would be representing myself and asked for time to figure things out. I went back to court may 13th. I now have a hearing on June 17th. When the lawyer wrote the oder he incorrectly dated the order for 2023. Is there any way I can use this mistake to delay my hearing? If so do I need to file a motion before I go back to court? I have to go to court on June 3rd to respond to a fee petition. Could I use that date to point out the error and delay the hearing on June 17th

A: You were present. You know the date. Apply for financing at 3 banks.
