A: If you are paying for a Chapter 13 payment plan but kept and used one credit card, and now you're also paying J.G. Wentworth for another card, you have a few options to consider.

First, review your Chapter 13 payment plan to ensure that all your debts, including the credit card you're using and the debt with J.G. Wentworth, are properly included. Using credit while in a Chapter 13 plan can complicate your case and may require you to report the new debt to the bankruptcy court.

You should contact your bankruptcy attorney to discuss your situation. They can help you understand how using the credit card affects your payment plan and what steps you need to take. You might need to amend your Chapter 13 plan to include the additional debt or seek court approval for the new payment arrangement with J.G. Wentworth.

It is crucial to address this issue promptly to avoid any potential violations of your bankruptcy plan and ensure that all your debts are being managed appropriately. Taking proactive steps now can help you stay on track with your bankruptcy proceedings and avoid further complications.
