Asked in Criminal Law for Washington

Q: Take it to the box?

I just got released from being picked up in the middle of my shift at work and taken into custody for robbery in 1st because a guy went called the police and said that he got robbed by what he thought was a gun by the person i took to go meet with this guy. When we got there the guy got in the car and when he did he handed the money to the front passenger and that's when the front passenger of the car I was driving tells me that he's got a pistol and to keep looking forward and proceeds to tell the guy in the back seat to get out of the car. After the guy gets out of car the passenger in the car tells me to drive. I get down the road and come to a stop sign and the guys jumps out and runs. I take off scared but relieved that I'm still alive. Next thing I know I'm being arrested at work and taken into custody and being charged with rob 1. They seized the car as evidence looking for a weapon and found nothing. no other evidence except the guys statement.

A: This reads like a law school question.

If this is real then what do you need to do?

1) hire an experienced criminal defense attorney and he/she will go over the details with you to explain what is good and bad about this situation.

2) understand that the circumstances that you are in, again if this is real is that you will need to decide if you are looking to settle this case somehow OR try it from the beginning indicating that you did nothing wrong UNTIL THE END WHEN YOU SAW A CRIME BEING COMMITTED IN FRONT OF YOU AND DIDN'T IMMEDIATELY CONTACT LAW ENFORCEMENT TO REPORT IT AND INDICATE THAT YOU DIDN'T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT.

Good Luck
