Q: I need help I was divorced 2021 and I'm finding out that I'm still married my ex is the one who filed.
My ex-filed false protective order on me and got a favor done because she had connections with high up people that are political, I was forced to sign paperwork whenever the restraining order was broken because we reconciled and I was finding that she was married with a child before, and then my phone was hacked and she was spying on me. So I went through paperwork and that's how I found out the past of hers then she called the cops on me because she got furious that I found that out and then went to jail and there they forced me to sign paperwork by bending my fingers backwards and telling me they were going to break my f****** fingers off if I didn't sign and I was forced to sign these paperwork. She's involved with the law enforcement and the protective order was falsified and now I'm finding that the divorce isn't even finalized and it's been two years I need help and I don't know where to go.
A: You should hire an attorney experienced in divorce law in or near the county where your divorce proceeding is pending. Given the facts stated in your inquiry, you should seek out one with several years experience or one who is board certified in family law. You will almost certainly need to pay a retainer somewhere in the range of $10,000-25,000, so make sure you make financial arrangements to secure those funds as soon as possible.
