A: Based on the information provided, here are some key points to consider:

1. Your wife's welfare and Section 8 benefits may potentially impact your immigration application, but it's not necessarily disqualifying.

2. Having another sponsor is helpful, as it shows additional financial support.

3. Financial support from family abroad can be beneficial to demonstrate that you have means of support.

However, immigration law is complex, and the specifics of your situation would need to be carefully evaluated. Here are some important considerations:

1. Public Charge Rule: Immigration officials assess whether an applicant is likely to become a "public charge" (primarily dependent on government assistance). Your wife's current benefits could be a factor in this determination.

2. Affidavit of Support: Your other sponsor will likely need to file an Affidavit of Support (Form I-864) to show they can financially support you.

3. Income requirements: The sponsor's income typically needs to meet certain thresholds based on the Federal Poverty Guidelines.

4. Foreign income: Money from family abroad may be considered, but there might be specific requirements for documenting and verifying this support.

Given the complexity of your situation, it would be highly advisable to consult with an experienced immigration attorney who can review all the details of your case and provide personalized guidance.

A: If your US Citizen wife is on welfare then you will need to find a joint sponsor. A joint sponsor can only be a US Citizen or green card holder who resides in the US.
