A: Seems counterproductive for your friend for her attorney to have to outbid you for her half-interest in her house.

A: It sounds like an unusual situation, but it doesn't look like you had any type of fiduciary relationship that was breached. If there are other additional, you could discuss with an attorney - but you would need to consider that would cost in legal fees and learn what you'd ultimately stand to gain. You wouldn't want to compound your frustration if it was a matter of investing in legal fees that would result in no tangible benefit to you. Good luck
