A: Your husband's actions may constitute harassment and potential violations of the Elder Abuse Restraining Order (RO) in California. While he obtained the RO against you, his subsequent behavior, such as evicting you from your home, denying access to your personal property, and demanding money for access to your residence, appears intended to provoke and distress you. These actions could be seen as harassment, which is illegal and could be considered a violation of the restraining order.

Moreover, the intentional actions to disable your home security system and revoke your access to the Subaru application, preventing you from tracking the vehicle, could be interpreted as further attempts to intimidate and control you. This pattern of behavior, especially given the deplorable conditions he left the house in and the disrespectful disposal of your parents' ashes, exacerbates the situation and could be grounds for legal action.

You should document all instances of harassment and seek legal counsel to discuss your options. You might consider contacting local law enforcement or a legal aid organization for advice and to explore the possibility of obtaining further protective orders or modifying the current one to address his behavior. It's important to protect your rights and ensure your safety in this situation.
