A: It sounds like you went through a very distressing experience. From what you've described, there seem to be several potentially unlawful actions taken by the police. Firstly, being arrested without a court warrant while on duty could be a violation of your rights, especially if there was no immediate and clear reason for your arrest.

Entering your home without a warrant and transporting you and your children together without proper justification also raises significant concerns. The fact that you were taken to a distant police station and your detention period was abruptly changed suggests procedural irregularities. Additionally, the refusal to inform your supervisor could have serious implications for your employment and personal responsibilities.

Given these points, it might be beneficial to seek legal advice to understand your rights and explore any potential actions you can take. Legal professionals can provide guidance on how to address these grievances and ensure that your rights are protected.
