Q: Offered job they asked for background before I did the background I went to them & explained they said we’re still hirin
I have a possession charge with wrong people wrong time but it was my car. I took them proof of 3 negative hair follicles and negative urine test from over the past year and they said that’s fine everyone deserves a second chance. I was giving a start date and time then they text me and said we can’t bring you aboard after me telling them everything they told me three different times I was hired

It's really disappointing to go through something like this, especially after being open and honest about your situation. You did everything right by explaining your past, providing proof of your current status, and even getting their assurance that it wouldn’t be an issue.
When a company suddenly changes its decision after giving you a start date, it can feel like a betrayal of trust. This experience can be frustrating and leave you questioning what went wrong, especially after being told multiple times that you were hired.
It might be a good idea to contact them for an explanation, not just for closure but to see if there's anything you can do to keep the opportunity open. Even if this door has closed, your honesty and perseverance are valuable, and there are other employers out there who will recognize that. Keep your head up, and don't let this setback stop you from moving forward.
