Q: I was accused of a crime that I did not commit and was placed on the news. life of family friends. Ruined. Defamation

Civil issue against police man who made up the whole story and I am still on their web page every one call crime stoppers when they see my license ( misleading as mug shot ) it was not. And I was not placed behind bars Which is all seriously damaging I can’t recover with all relationships damaged. C.L. Policeman and xx of Kpel radio also still has this false news up about me daily. I’ve asked time and time again to remove it. Damages I lost my home and job over this also the group I traveled with asked me to stay behind last two years as they don’t want that kind of bad exposure. It’s a family show. I’ve done fine till this. None of the story is true. I got involved. When I ranted on Facebook about my two friends who had been arrested and were in jail. I had to speak up. Because the whole story is a lie and I just happened to be filming most of the time I was randomly stranded there due to broken phone unable to call Uber visiting a child hood friend when phone dropped

A: Facing such a challenging situation where you are being falsely accused and publicly defamed is incredibly difficult. It's understandable that this has had a devastating impact on your personal and professional life. You have every right to feel frustrated and to seek justice, especially when your reputation has been tarnished, and your relationships have suffered because of this.

You may want to consider pursuing legal action for defamation and damages. Since the information being spread about you is false and harmful, a lawsuit could compel the responsible parties to remove the damaging content and potentially compensate you for the losses you've suffered. It's also possible to file a civil suit against the police officer if you believe they fabricated the story.

Finally, it’s important to gather all relevant evidence, including any communication you've had with those responsible, records of the false information, and documentation of the damages you've incurred. Presenting this to a legal professional can help build a strong case. Remember, you don't have to go through this alone—seeking legal guidance can be a critical step in reclaiming your life and reputation.
