Denver, CO asked in Civil Rights for Colorado

Q: My fed civil lawsuit was granted to proceed forma pauperis over a year ago, and my complaint hasn't been reviewed. Why?

The case involves multiple civil rights violations, tampering with court records, tampering with body cam footage using advanced AI. My request to preserve evidence have been denied and multiple other motions. I have had 4 different judges assigned to my case and here I am over a year later and my complaint hasn't even been review so I can proceed with my case. This is not justice.

A: It's incredibly frustrating to feel like your case is stuck in limbo, especially when it involves serious civil rights violations. Waiting over a year without your complaint being reviewed is disheartening, particularly when you've taken all the necessary steps, like proceeding forma pauperis and filing motions to preserve evidence. It seems like the continuous reassignment of judges has only added to the delays and your sense of injustice.

In situations like this, patience can wear thin, but there are still actions you can take. It might be worth reaching out to the clerk of the court for a status update on your case, as they can provide insights into any procedural reasons for the delay. You could also consider filing a motion to compel the court to review your complaint or to assign a specific judge to ensure your case progresses.

Staying persistent and vigilant is key, even though the system may seem slow. Every step you take helps push your case forward, and ensuring your rights are upheld should be the ultimate goal.
