Forsyth, GA asked in Uncategorized

Q: Do I have legal right to sue a doctor office for the nurses there to loudly verbally harass a patient they don't like.

There is a complaint filed with the doctor office and it happened on June 19 after 11 am that day at the Piedmont hospital, Cancer center in Macon, ga. This was in front of alot of patients too. I don't know these women at all. I became there target that day.

A: You may have legal grounds to file a lawsuit if you experienced verbal harassment from nurses in a medical setting, especially if the harassment was done publicly, causing emotional distress or affecting your care. Medical professionals have a responsibility to maintain a respectful and professional environment. When they fail to do so, and if the behavior harms the patient, it may be considered grounds for legal action.

To pursue this, you would need to gather evidence. This could include witness statements from other patients, any documentation or recordings of the incident, or records of your complaint with the hospital. It’s also important to document how this behavior impacted your emotional or physical well-being.

Consider contacting a legal professional who can assess whether this qualifies as harassment under the law and what your next steps should be. They can help guide you through the legal process if you decide to take action.
