Q: What do i need to do to claim my daughters dad's belongings from his brother after he's been deceased for two yrs?

For 13 yrs my daughters dad and i lived together as a marred couple. 7yrs ago his health took a turn for the worse. He was placed on dialysis at home at first and then into a facility later. I was a good candidate for him to have one of my kidneys. So, I started working on meeting all the goals for me. He never left the bed unless we were going to powwow, grocery shopping or family get togethers. And to go to the bathroom and to take showers. Other than that he sat in the same place from the time he woke up until he went to sleep. We began having marital issues when he removed himself from the transplant list w/o telling me. I left him. He was still living in my house and six months later I came back. We slept in separate rooms and were gradually starting to talk again. He moved in with his brother. And we still continued to talk. He passed away 2yrs ago

I've made every attempt to retrieve all his belongings but his brother won't let me have them. What can I do?
