Bixby, OK asked in Probate for Oklahoma

Q: What is the statute of limitations on filing a legal mal lawsuit against a criminal lawyer that took on a probate case?

My friend said that in 2014 or 2015, his sister hired a criminal lawyer for their mother's probate case. The lawyer stated that his dad was a probate lawyer and he knew what he was doing. Against him and his brothers protests for a different lawyer, his sister being the executor stayed with the criminal lawyer. She then cleaned out their mother's account and spent the money, refused to show the judge receipts. And again against their protests she listened to what the lawyer was telling her to do. In the middle of all this the said lawyer leaves the firm he was with and decides to try to start his own firm and took their case with him. To speed things up and get to the end, the judge ended up tellng the sister either she forfeits her right to the rest of the estate and step down from executor or face embezzlement charges. Afterwards the said "lawyer" ended up with their mother's entire estate minus the oil rights and then made my friend buy her car from the lawyer.
