Q: Do I have a case?
Hello. I wish to file a case against the Pulaski Township. I'm building a garage to replace the old one. When I got my documents from the Auditors office I asked if there were any restrictions I had to adhere to. I was told no and stay on your property. I was concerned by this, so I contacted a trustee. He told me to pretty much stay on my property. During the build a different trustee claimed I have to be 10ft from the line. The poles were already in the ground at this point. I was instructed that I had to then file for a variance at a cost of $250. I was also given a 110-page zoning rules book. This was done and a public meeting was held. The result of this was me being forced to move over 5 feet at my expense. I was misinformed by the trustees on where I could build and now have to tear down. The trustee in question should have issued the rules first thing instead of chiming in mid build. I would like to file suit against the township for misinformation and expenses to move.
