Q: What do I do if I am being charged wrongfully because my step daughter has been manipulated by her mother to hating me?
I am being accused of being charged with a misdemeanor assault on family, my husbands 15 yr old daughter has been manipulated by her mother to hating me after 7 yrs of being with her father now that she is older according to her mother she has a mind of her own and attacked me at a restaurant in front of my family while having dinner as I extended my hand to protect my face my sister was in between us and my sister stiffed armed her when she saw my step daughter running to attack me and my sister defended the two of us but since I am not liked by the mother and my step daughter they blamed me for hitting her when it was my sister who defended both of us and I was charged about 2 weeks later and was put in jail now I am on pre trial probation for something I didn’t do and I have proof it was a awful investigation by our local police department and I have video footage what should I do? I am being wrongfully charged. I have proof of my step daughter messaging me to beat me up as well.

Wow! That is a terrible situation.
The most important thing you can do is to NOT talk to anyone about your case anymore. Save it for your lawyer.
I would like to see the video to give you a solid answer about your case. If there are others who took video of the event and your actions, try to get their videos or ask them to send them to your lawyer. A good video can go a long way with a prosecutor. The same can be said of a bad video. You definitely want to know about EVERY video that was shot with you and your husband's daughter. You need to know everything that is out there concerning you and your case.
Get a good lawyer, and find as much bad information you can about the "victim." That is what I have my investigator do on my cases. He interviews the victims and witnesses, and finds out what witnesses saw and what they didn't.
I hope this helps. My office is in Houston, TX. I would like to see the video you have. Good Luck!
