Q: I was 13 days late on payment and my insurance did laps. He took my car and harassed me in the process? What do I do?
I reassured him I wanted to pay the payment and fee and possibly buy the car out I was denied he charged me $250 to get my belongings and kept telling me what he felt like I did wrong in his car he kept up with where I traveled, where, and caused confusion within my home. He harassed me and spoke to me as if I was a child of his I lost weight within the week he took the car I couldn’t feed my children or purchase anything because my purse was in the car which I told him. He made me pay 250.00 to retrieve it and didn’t allow me to purchase my vehicle full out. He said I misused his vehicle and it’s always women who do things he compared me to other women and also did not give me a chance at all!.
A:
I'm really sorry you're going through this difficult time. First, make sure to document every interaction you have with him, including dates, times, and what was said or done. Keep all receipts and records related to the $250 charge and any other expenses you've incurred.
Reach out to local authorities if his behavior continues to be threatening or harassing. You have the right to feel safe in your home, and law enforcement can help protect you if needed. Additionally, consider contacting a legal aid organization in your area. They can provide guidance on your rights regarding the vehicle and any unfair treatment you've experienced.
Finally, seek support for yourself and your children during this stressful period. Connecting with a counselor or support group can help you manage the emotional impact. Look into community resources that might assist with immediate needs like food and essentials while you work through resolving these issues.
