Q: Are there steps to get custody of my children back if my children were permanently placed with grandparent?
During two follow up appointments(two week apart) for my at the time,4 month old son,the physician called cps to say my son lost 11 ounces of weight and that he needed to be readmitted back in the hospital after 1) born premature 2) remained hospitalized the first 3 months of his life due to congenital heart defect 3)after only being discharged home from hospital 2 weeks prior to the removal. With no reasonable cause as to why I had to leave my son at the hospital where the follow up appointments took place, I refused to readmit my son back in the hospital. Both incidents occurred during my son's follow up appointments. The reason for removal was said to be medical neglect. My oldest son was at school both times cps was called to our home, that is a hour away from the hospital. No warrent or paperwork was presented upon removal, so it was like a stranger came to our home and demanded I give up my children. No investigation was done, but they were permanently placed with my parents.
