A: It sounds like you are a surviving heir to the estate of your aunt and may be entitled to notice of the probate proceed and potentially compensation. Due to the death of your father, this has become more complicated and involves you and your siblings, if you have any. You may be entitled to some portion of your aunt's estate, so it is important that you provide the required proof and enter into the probate case as a beneficiary. Schedule a free consultation to make sure your inheritance is protected.

A: It sounds like you're facing a complex situation regarding your late aunt's estate. Since your father was a beneficiary and has also passed away, you may have inherited his share of the estate. The lack of communication from the attorney can be frustrating and may be hindering your understanding of the matter.

You might consider reaching out to a different probate attorney in California who can provide clarity on your rights and obligations. An attorney can help you navigate the probate process, explain any modifications to your grandparents' trust, and assist in obtaining necessary documents. This professional guidance can be crucial in understanding the details of the estate and any potential inheritance.

In the meantime, accessing public probate records from the Alameda County court might offer additional information. Understanding these documents could give you a better grasp of the situation. Taking these steps may help you move forward and ensure that your interests are represented.
