Q: My divorce attorney did not file a contempt motion after my divorce was finalized for back alimony.
This was going on for 3 months , before I realized nothing was filed. He kept telling me the courts were slow. He’s been reprimanded by the court and has had his license suspended. Not sure if this was happening while he was representing me. Phone calls were either never returned or were returned 2 weeks later. Emails were returned after 1 or 2 weeks . Missed a mediation hearing completely, said he was held up in another court , 20 minutes after hearing started. Had to hire another attorney for this.
