Q: What are my rights after being pushed by an officer and falsely accused of trespassing? I have a video to prove it wrong
I have a question that I believe to be within criminal law. I attended a university football game November 25th. I went through the wrong entrance (not student entrance), was pushed out by the security guard, after getting out he puts me to the ground. Police show, they find out it is a misunderstanding and one of them escort me back into the stadium. Later on, after going to the restroom, the same security guard shows up and drags me and a friend out of the stadium, pulls me to the side, and calls the police. I start recording from my phone at this point on. Listening to the video, I offer to give my passport as they arrive, I provide them my side of the story, and provide my address within the first 2,5 minutes. However, the encounter ends up taking 30 minutes including one police officer pushing me down as he grabs my throat even though the police have all my information and passport. Now, I have been accused of trespassing and punching the security guard which is a blatant lie.
