Q: What are my options if I am unable to pay a credit card debt that I am being sued for in the state of Texas?
I received notice that I am being sued by Discover for a balance I am unable to pay currently due to extenuating circumstances. I tried to work with them to pay what I could but was told that was not acceptable, so I had to let the account go to collections. Much of the debt was from my ex-fiancé but the card is in my name alone.
