Q: I have a warrant issued to me for FTA...MTA ticket citation issued to me for ticket violation.I couldn't pay or appear..
My primary care Dr issues me monthly disability bus pass for each month. As im on the light rail one day, a MTA police approaches me and ask if I have a ticket.I showed him the disability bus pass my Doctor gave me,where he then asks for a "MTA Disability Id card.I did not have a (Disability Id card ) because I didnt know i needed one.He issued me a Ticket citation.I was unable to pay.Failure to pay Citation asserts me to appear in court on appointed day.in which case I failed to appear. The fine is $150 for the MTA citation.I can pay the $150 citation as of now.I will pay Citation tomorrow.Once I do that ,will they drop the bench warrant issued for me,and case closed?? ** PS I am grateful that I found your website.I thank JUSTIA,and I really hope to hear back from you .I had no idea who to ask or talk to about my situation and thankfully i came upon your web page.It felt great to finally vent my dilemma.Im hoping to avoid having to go to Baltimore City Central Booking.Ty Much!
