Q: Can I be pressured to sign an agreement forfeiting property in a divorce case without knowing what I'm forfeiting?
divorce case - spouse was in a years-long relationship with their employee. I was not accused of any wrong-doing. I asked repeatedly what property was being divided and still have not been provided information other than what small portion I can keep. I have not signed the quit-claim yet for that reason. No children. I said I don't understand what some lines on the agreement meant and asked repeatedly but was told to sign or they'll make the damages against me worse. I was not allowed to have witnesses. I was not allowed to say anything. The "hearing" was in the state where the spouse lives. Is that something I should seek an attorney over? All property and assets were moved by the spouse to new accounts other than the properties with my name on the title. One house in Florida was sold, and my spouse used that to pay legal fees. I have no access to our assets to afford the same.
