Q: Do I have any rights without a lease?
I’m a maintenance man at a apartment complex and my wife and I applied to get one of the apartments.. turns out she had a previous eviction before we met and was turned down so I wanted to just run my credit and my boss “res manager “ said we could move in until she could get it straightened out with corporate well it’s been four months rent free and they haven’t done anything and she’s making me put all my outdoor patio furniture in the apartment next door when the regional manager comes to inspect once a month. Well today she tells me that they can’t run my application because we’re married and I need to move out after she gave me the keys to move in and acted like she was gonna handle it. she told me that she regretted telling me I could move me in but now she told another coworker she didn’t even know about it and I’ve been here for almost 5 months now and she obviously knew about it . any advice would sure help thanks a lot !
