Q: How do I get an SIS(suspended imposition of sentence) off my record? I was 17 in 1988.
I also didn't know I had an SIS at all. I filled out for Clemency 12 years ago and just received a letter telling me this. It would've seemed that the Missouri Probation and parole would have told me this right off because it goes through them first. Instead I waited 12 years for nothing. Florida has a two tier background check and as soon as I have to get finger printed then it's over for anything. I'm being punished for something I did 36 years ago. It was a Class C burglary in a building. You have no idea how hard it is to be a caregiver and can barely get hours at a job because of their insurance will only give 5 hours a day at teh most. But if I could get paid by the state which I was turned down because of the felony.
