Q: Premature delivery due to cervical insufficiency

For context, my wife had been experiencing lower abdominal pain and mentioned it to her doctors, who reassured her that it was normal. However, on one particular day, she started bleeding, so I took her to the hospital. After a scan, the hospital informed us there was bleeding in her uterus, which our regular doctor had never mentioned. They also noted her cervical length was short and advised us to follow up with our doctor. It took four or five days to secure an appointment, and even then, our doctor hadn’t reviewed the reports until we specifically asked about her cervical length. At that point, she acknowledged it was a high-risk pregnancy and prescribed medication, advising us to return to the hospital the following day. At the hospital, my wife had to wait about four hours for a room and continued to report pain, which was again dismissed as normal. The next day, she went into premature labor, and tragically, our baby survived only two hours. I am deeply concerned about possible
