Macon, GA asked in Employment Law for Georgia

Q: Is it legal to be required to use paid time off for time you are not getting paid for?

I live in Georgia and am salaried non-exempt employee. I have a set schedule of 40 hrs 4 days a week, but am required to work around 48 hours a week. Occasionally we are also required to work an additional day outside of our scheduled days. We currently have a new senior manager that has just announced that we are required to work 2 additional days (6 days a week, around 80 plus hours a week) until further notice, and if we missed one of the additional days, we would be required to use pto. My question is, is it legal to be required to use paid time off for time I’m not getting paid for?
