Q: Will I be able to regain 50/50 custody after suicide attempt?
In Oct. I had a mental break due to my husband springing a divorce, moving out, and admitting to me he had a girlfriend all in one weeks time. He then began tormenting me daily and threatening to take the kids away. Due to the mental break I attempted suicide, survived, and was diagnosed with an adjustment disorder from the previous compiling events. I’ve gone through the hoops, have done therapy weekly and kept on my medication. I was just given court ordered supervised visitation for two weeknights and every other weekend. Will I ever regain 50/50 custody?? It has me worried sick that my mistake will determine the rest of my kiddos childhood. They have never nor will they ever be in danger. My soon to be ex husband filed for temporary sole custody while I was still in the hospital. His girlfriend is pushing him to get full custody. Additionally how long of a process am I looking at?
