Q: Legal Advice Needed for Rental Car Accident
I am seeking your advice regarding a car accident I was involved in while driving my friend's rental car, which he had rented from Hertz. My friend did not purchase the rental insurance, assuming his Discover credit card would provide coverage. Since I do not own a car, I do not have any personal car insurance.
The incident occurred while I was fully stopped at a red traffic light as the first car in line, intending to proceed straight (let’s assume heading north). When the light changed, I noticed the vehicles beside me starting to move forward and began driving as well. A vehicle coming from the east collided with me. I am uncertain whether I had a green, yellow, or red light at the time of the collision.
