Somerville, MA asked in Gov & Administrative Law and Municipal Law for New Hampshire

Q: What constitutes abandoning a vehicle in a parking lot of conservation area? Broke down but i was with it all the time.

My car broke down and was towed. I was in it everyday waiting on a part to arrive. One night i didnt sleep in it, i left at 5pm and was back 9am next day it was gone. Tow company wants 295 and 50 a day. Im in transition of job and living situation so i was living in it. Three days i was in it and not once did a cop show up. I lost the new job because of this and cannot afford a storage unit i had so will lose everything i have. It seems a neighbor to the park called when i left. The car and my stuff in it value at least 2000 and the bill is 295, probably a couple days storage by now. I just dont have the money as im transitioning out of town. Now homeless with no more money and im going to lose everything i had. Is there anything i can do? Tow company has two shops, one in the town my car was and one 20 or so miles away in another town which is where they took it and i have no car to get there. Is there anything i can do it seems like extortion to me and theft, am i losing it all?
