Q: Can I break the lease agreement for a car that doesn't deliver what was promised?
One month ago, I traded in my car for a new 2025 Honda Pilot. The main feature I asked for was for the phone app, HondaLink, to work with this model in order for me to be able to start up my car from a far distance using my phone. I have to mention that the dealership initially gave me another car (a 2024 Honda Passport) that they had to take back because it was not compatible, as they said, with the app. Once they exchanged the Passport for this newer, more expensive model, everything was supposed to work smoothly- and it did, for a very few days. After that, the app stopped working, and the explanations that I keep receiving from the online support of HondaLink are different, while I am getting assigned to "case managers" who don't call back and don't fix the issues. I've been calling and calling without results. Now, the winter is here, and I cannot use the feature that I specifically asked for. I feel like I ended up with a very expensive car that doesn't deliver what was promised.
