Los Angeles, CA asked in Real Estate Law for Hawaii

Q: Can the condo property manager alter the Annual Minutes draft , without the knowledge nor consent of the Board Secretary

This regards an AOAO condo in Maui, HI.

I would just like a consult on this one issue at this time - that of the alteration of the Annual Minutes draft coming in from our professional Transcriptionist and Parliamentarian and the property manager not admitting to the change; besides the By-Laws not being adhered to.

I am the Board Secretary and discovered this by accident, as it was hidden from me and improperly attributed to the professional hired Transcriptionist and Parliamentarian changing the document before submission for approval to the Board for our 2025 meeting. I believe the Board President is aware of it, yet she consistently skirts around the By-Laws and is old and cannot write much herself. Two other members of the Board have already quit because of improper procedures, no teamwork, and no transparency.

Thank you. I know it's before Thanksgiving, but I have a meeting about this that was called for Monday.
