Q: Tow company drove & got camera tickets with my car then Got mechanic lean and had it auctioned while still financing it
My car was picked up from nypd tow pound without me being present by an acquaintance . My truck was instructed to be taken to my house in my garage. Without my knowledge instead of taking to my house It was taken to the shop by the owner son who I knew previously. When I contacted him he told me i needed a new battery and gas. The next day after I again instructed him to tow it to my home because he told me it was not drivable. knowing I was leaving the state he never took it to my home instead, he started driving it and receiving multiple speed camera tickets, and toll violations. While I was away my boyfriend had been calling to find out the whereabouts of my vehicle which I was still financing. When I returned, I found out that he had taken a mechanic lien for unpaid storage fees and my car was three days away from being auctioned off. I never gave permission to drive my car or store it at their shop.
