Q: My previously employer agreed to reimburse routine business expenses, and is now refusing to after I quit. Can I sue?
The expenses are standard company policy that every foreman is reimbursed for, but I was not told so until 2 months later, thus this conversation.
Here is the text transcript:
Me:
Owen, I haven't been reimbursed for gas, $650, that we discussed and agreed upon. Is that being honored?
Owen, the GM:
Hi Joel. We agreed on multiple things in that discussion. I was going to reimburse for 2 months of gas and get you in a truck. You were going to run the construction of our BDA installs and come to me with concerns prior to getting to a quitting point. Nobody wins here. However, Can you submit your gas receipts for the 2 months...that will be better than 325 per month lump sum that was said. If you dont have receipts than credit card statements of the transactions would suffice. Some sort of backup is required in the current circumstances. Fair?

I provided the bank statements, in addition to $600 in other expenses on 11/1/24, but no response now.
