Randolph, MA asked in Estate Planning and Probate for Massachusetts

Q: Own house with dad, dad passed away now the house is going through probate. Only use dad a co-borrower what can I do...

What can I do if I don't want to share with my siblings? I put money down and have been paying for the house for the past 12 years. Dad is just a co-borrower since my credit was not good at the time. What can I do at probate? Or if there's anything I can do to avoid probate. FIY, the lawyer never asked us how we wanted the deed to be written and just learned that I'm not a joint tenant. Mom is still alive though so if the house goes through probate without a will or trust, does that mean half will go to mom?
