Nantucket, MA asked in Education Law, Small Claims and Civil Litigation for Massachusetts

Q: Can I sue a school that advertised a class but now will not complete paperwork for proof I completed the class?

This is in Massachusetts and the class was $2500. I took a required class for electricians to get their journeyman's license. It was at an accredited school and I found the course right on their website. It stated I would get 150 course hours for completing it. Now that it is completed they are unable to fill out the paperwork that would get me those hours and are saying the class is not approved by the state. But it did not say this anywhere in the listing for the course. So ultimately the class was useless to me and the course hours I was promised have not been fulfilled. I spent an entire year doing the class and paid a lot of money. I have screenshots proving all of this as well. Any advice would be great thanks so much!
