Q: If hired for a commissioned based job in Kansas can they choose to pay you hourly instead?
Was hired as an Esthetician at a spa that was not yet open. I signed an offer letter to make 32% commission. They said they would pay me 12 dollars an hour while we were setting up and training. Once the spa opened the manager informed my co worker but never told me that we would keep making an hourly rate instead of commission because the spa isn’t making money yet. Also I started on Tuesday October 29th and still have not yet been paid.
