Mattapan, MA asked in Consumer Law and Lemon Law for Massachusetts

Q: Can I sue a dealership for not doing a proper safety repair & still passing my vehicle inspection?

They sold me the vehicle which failed the alignment, the photo etc is on Carfax. Had the vehicle looked at by the manufacture dealership and they gave a list of what needs to be fixed ( a lower control arm, $2,500). Purchasing dealership has their tech look over it and they say there is nothing wrong, yet they did one alignment and 6 days later I needed another one. Also, everytime you pull into the service bay the black boxes read your alignment, yet they never said it needed one. I've gone to 2 other tire places to confirm if alignment needed and all their reports say the same, it needs one but part needs replacing first. They won't even do an alignment for free now that I am past my warranty. I have gone there 3 times with no avail.
