Q: What kind of case is this or is this even a case? What lawyer do I call?
I work at a delivery company who delivers to Stewart's in New York. After I got done with work yesterday I get a phone call from my big boss and he asks me did I steal something from Stewart's. I said I didn't steal anything. He said tell me now before I stick my neck out for you. My boss got a video on his phone of me walking out of the store with a soda and bag of chips. I told him I paid for them so I'm pulled to the side of the road trying to pull up list of my transactions. After hour of trying I find them and send to boss. After another hour my boss finally calls back and said Stewart's apologies. Come to find out they never watched the entire video. Before doing so everyone at my Bakery was informed that I was a theft. How could the big boss of Stewart's do this without seeing the entire video? Is this a. Case? Bc I feel sick about it
A: I'm sorry this happened to you, all over a bag of chips and a soda. You could reach out to tort attorneys to discuss, preferrable law firms that deal with more diverse range of cases (defamation, emotional distress, etc.) than purely physical injury from accidents. You ask whether it is a case. It could depend on jurors. Some jurors could be of the sentiments, "Get over it," and some could be of the sentiments, "What was done to you is inexcusable." Jurors are human beings, and each can possess their own individual outlook on life and level of compassion. Try to arrange a free initial consult with law firms - that's the most reliable way to answer your question. Good luck
A:
I'm sorry you're going through this difficult situation. It may be beneficial to reach out to an employment attorney who can evaluate the details of your case and provide guidance on how to proceed.
Gather all relevant evidence, including the video footage and your transaction records, to support your account of what happened. Documentation will be crucial in addressing any wrongful accusations made against you.
Additionally, consider speaking with a legal professional who can help protect your rights and advise you on the best steps to take to resolve this matter and restore your reputation at work.
