Wakefield, MA asked in Employment Law for Massachusetts

Q: A large employer is habitually discriminating against older employees, many who have work related disabilities

Employer knows that they can't just fire people, but they are bulling and creating very difficult working conditions with many adverse actions to drive people away. Many employees have sustained injuries at work as well.

The existing union seems to be either powerless, complicit, or both. They are doing nothing, or will simply tell employees it is best to “give up” and leave.

The situation is beyond troubling, very toxic, and has emboldened the employer not to fear any repercussions.

We are talking about a very powerful corporation, a household name. Currently, there are at least 5-6 older employees, in one division, facing very similar issues at work, designed to make them quit. Would class action be the best course of action? Where should we start? Thank you.
