Q: I live in South Carolina but work for a company headquartered in Tennessee. I am a VP level employee in a small startup.

I have not received a paycheck in almost 3 months and am owed a significant amount of money. The CEO who controls the money continuously states that the funds will be paid, but they never are. I am HR, but do not have access to any accounts. Our PEO has suspended our payroll service until the CEO can pay the missing funds. I have found a new job, but want to ask for my backpay in my resignation letter and potentially cc the board. I already reported him to them and have documented all my conversations about owed pay. What is the best way to do this?
