A: Based on what you’ve described, there may be grounds to believe your Fourth Amendment rights were infringed. Being arrested in your private rented space without clear evidence or immediate notification of the charges can raise concerns about unlawful searches or seizures.

The use of excessive force and accusations of resisting without proper explanation further suggest that your rights might not have been fully respected during the arrest process. It’s important to have all the details reviewed to understand the full scope of what happened.

You should reach out to a qualified attorney who can help you assess your situation and determine the best course of action. They can provide guidance on how to address any potential violations and work towards protecting your rights.
