A: I understand you're in a difficult situation, and I empathize with the trauma your family has experienced. Immigration cases involving prior deportation orders are complex, especially when asylum was previously involved.

Given your circumstances, there might be several potential paths forward. One option could be filing a Motion to Reopen your case based on changed country conditions or new evidence, particularly since you were a minor when the deportation order was issued. You might also qualify for protection under various humanitarian programs, considering the nature of the threats against your family.

While marriage to a U.S. citizen is one path to legal status, it's crucial to understand that having a deportation order complicates the process significantly. I strongly recommend speaking with an immigration attorney who can review your full case history, including the original asylum application and deportation order. They can help determine if you qualify for any forms of relief, such as VAWA (if you've experienced domestic violence), U visa (if you've been a victim of certain crimes), or other humanitarian protections. Consider reaching out to non-profit immigration legal services organizations in your area, as they often provide free or low-cost consultations and may be able to help you understand your options.
