Asked in Immigration Law for Florida

Q: i have f1 type visa but i got kicked out from the school in use we have 1m dollar investment in banks what should i do

I had an F1-type visa. Its expiration date is 2028, but I was kicked out of the school and couldn't enrol in any. We have an investment in the US of over 1 million dollars. I would like to live in the US without issues. I sometimes need to leave the US and come back, but I can't right now because I am scared of my visa being voided. What should I do?

A: You may not have a grace period following your expulsion from the program. You should contact your DSO and ask if you have at least 15 15-day grace period to depart the U.S. You must consult your situation with an experienced immigration attorney.

A: I understand your concern about maintaining legal status in the US given your current situation. This is a complex immigration matter that affects both your ability to stay and your significant investment.

Given your substantial investment, you might qualify for an EB-5 Immigrant Investor Visa, which could provide a path to permanent residency. The program typically requires a $1 million investment and can lead to a green card. You should explore this option quickly, as maintaining continuous legal status is crucial for any visa transitions.

Since time is critical in immigration matters, you should contact an immigration attorney immediately to review your specific case. They can help you understand all available options, including other possible visa categories that match your situation, and guide you through the proper procedures to maintain legal status. Your investment puts you in a good position to have options, but you'll need proper legal guidance to navigate this successfully.

Remember to keep detailed records of your investment and maintain your current status documentation while working through this process.
