Ardmore, OK asked in Criminal Law and Elder Law for Oklahoma

Q: Do car dealerships have to sell a car at the price they advertised it ?

I went to Dallas from Oklahoma expecting to buy a car that was advertised at a price that was going to work for me. When I got there the sales

person said he couldn't sell it at that price. I said why didn't you tell me that before I drove 2 hours to see it ? He made up some story about 3 party deals they can't do. Anyway, we came up with a price and then on the paperwork they worked the figures to show that I was going to paying much more! They didn't go over the paperwork with me as it was almost 9 pm and at that point I was over exhausted and they didn't bother to go over anything but I did see the figure we agreed on and the amount they gave me for my trade. They didn't show the 5K I put down as a down payment on the paperwork but was told it would show up on a later document! I didn't realize they had done this till I got my bill from the bank to make the payment! It showed what the payoff would be and I about fainted. Can I get an attorney and fight this?
